The government will not give you employment insurance if you are working a job just for the holidays.  Don't expect to file for unemployment benefits after December 31, 2009 after you are laid off from the holidays if shortly before the holidays you were receiving those unemployment benefits and took a job because of the holiday demand for that particular business and you needed a job.    They lay you off.  You can't file.  But, if you take these strategic steps the government will pay you as a self employed individual.  Again, another "small fortune" money source.
